Why I’m building osiedlo
When I got my first job in Krakow, I started flat-hunting right away. I knew nobody there who could tell me where to look or what to watch out for. I ended up somewhere quiet and close to work, but far from the centre and the trams - with a high rent on top. Add agents who sold me something I did not want, a non-refundable reservation fee and deposits I never got back.
Then I moved to a small town outside the city: cheaper, but everything by car, and every errand became an expedition. And when, a few moves later, I decided to buy my own flat, the choice overwhelmed me. A good neighbourhood is expensive. A cheaper one can be a logistical nightmare. The true cost of a district depends on a dozen things at once - and nobody helps you make a decision that stays with you for years.
That is why I am building osiedlo - so you do not lose the time, money and nerves I did. Everyone is looking for something different: city life, quiet, a park for the dog, or a place for the whole family with no compromises. osiedlo is the tool I needed back then: an honest conversation about how you live and a ranked list of areas with reasons - with warnings and a viewing checklist, before you sign the lease. Not after.
